We know that family is important to you. The HSBC Premier Head Start account gives your children the opportunity to start appreciating the value of money and getting their initial savings experience through a Premier branded account as well as introducing them to the world of online banking.
Instant Recognition - Premier Recognition Card
When you open a Premier Head Start account your child receives an HSBC Premier Recognition Card which gives him or her instant recognition in our local and international Premier Centres and Branches.
The HSBC Premier Recognition Card not only provides your children a means to get access to their savings, if you so wish, but also introduces your child to the Premier brand.
How does it work?
The Premier Head Start account gives you the opportunity to open a higher interest savings account in your child’s name from birth to the age of 25. There is no limit on the amount that can be deposited in the account. Between the age of 10 and 13 you have the possibility of allowing your child to withdraw a maximum amount of €20 per month. Between 13 and 25 you may authorize the Bank to issue a Premier VISA Electron Debit Card to your child which will give them full access to their account both locally and abroad

We all agree that Online Banking is an integral part of our daily lives and we are aware that the earliest we get our children accustomed to this new method of banking the better. So we are making it possible for your children to experience online banking by giving you the option of granting them access to our Internet Banking service.
Up to the age of 13 your child will only be able to view their accounts but, from 13 onwards, you can authorise us to grant full functional access. This access will be automatic if you have authorised us to issue a Premier VISA Electron Card to your child.
