We currently have full-time graduate opportunities. You will be offered diverse and varied duties with fantastic career progression opportunities across the wider Bank. This opportunity is suitable for candidates over the age of 18.
Role
The Graduate Programme provides you with three experiences across areas of the business, namely, Retail Banking Wealth Management, Commercial Banking and HSBC Operation Services & Technology or Global Functions. The role entails:
- Being an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank’s profile in the local business and wider community
- Supporting customers and placing their needs at the forefront of all that we do, setting world class standards
- Seeking new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to identify new business opportunities
- Adhering to structures and processes in place for the management of credit, operational, reputation, financial crime and regulatory risk

You will be given the opportunity to attend training programme delivered by our HSBC University and encouraged to join a professional body to continue your professional studies. Coaching and mentoring will be provided during the programme. Learning, development and support
At HSBC we don’t just enrol you on a programme without thinking why are you are doing this. Our HSBC University – is a one-stop-shop for all HSBC learning. This includes mandatory training, as well as resources on Leadership, Risk Management, and business-specific training.
Qualifications and Requirements
The successful candidate for this role must have:
- Recent University Graduate (ideally second upper classification) – student graduating in 2019 are welcome to apply
- Fluency in English and a good understanding of the Maltese language
- Evidence of leadership experience (not necessarily work related)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A passion for customer experience
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- A desire to learn and work at pace with changing priorities
Other desirable qualities are:
- Being highly proactive and effectively managing your own time
- Being an effective networker with the ability to maintain positive working relationships
- Experience in the workplace, this can include volunteering or work experience
