Procurement Operations Specialist

Job Role Profile:

The Bank is pleased to advise that an opportunity for the post of a Procurement Operations Specialist has arisen in our procurement area. The role-holder supports the effective management of our company’s procurement operations.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • assist in the effective management of procurement operations to ensure timely and compliant (accordance with bank policy and the relevant local regulatory requirements) processing and payment of all approved invoices and employee travel & entertainment claims as well as management of purchase orders
  • provide support to ensure effective and consistent implementation/application of procurement strategy and target operating model, including deployment of new operating systems
  • assist in supporting activities in order to deliver a compliant, efficient, cost effective, timely, high quality service, whilst supporting the management of risks from duplicate, fraudulent or incorrect payments, and avoiding operational losses

Essential skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • ability to manage and interpret financial and management information
  • problem solving and analytical mind-set, planning & delivery
  • proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • strong stake holder management and customer focus
  • pro-active and capable of working on own initiative
  • strong communications and team working skills maintaining relationships with both internal and external parties

Desirable skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • knowledge and experience of procurement activities and operations environment
  • a degree or qualification in Banking, Financial Services or Procurement
  • a strong knowledge and awareness of risk and compliance

Other Information

This opportunity is being offered on a full time definite contract basis of 12 months with flexible working options.
