International Subsidiary Banking Relationship Manager

HSBC is seeking a high calibre individual to join our Commercial Banking (CMB) as an International Subsidiary Banking Relationship Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to build an in-depth understanding of their needs.

Principal Accountabilities include:
 
  • Relationship manage a portfolio of international corporate customers 
  • Growing the CMB International Business safely and sustainably
  • Deepening of client relationships by matching customer needs to HSBC products and services 
  • Working closely with the other Business arms of the bank to ensure effective cross collaboration and the building of internal relationships 
  • Handling due diligence and account opening requirements for both locally registered foreign owned entities as well as those registered in other jurisdictions
  • Build internal relationships with key points of contact within the HSBC Group
  • Aligning customer service to the HSBC International proposition
  • Manage financial crime risk and understand processes mitigating key AML and Sanctions risks

 

To be successful in the role, you will need the following requirements:

  • Strong customer service ethics and Relationship management skills 
  • Assertiveness with strong negotiating/customer relationship/communication skills 
  • To be a good team player with the ability to up skill support and go above and beyond day to day duties to help others within the team
  • To be well organised and able to work under pressure on his/her own initiative
  • To be conversant with banking products offering on liabilities as well as related products which can be used for Financial Sector entities 
  • To be a capable all-rounder and knowledgeable in banking operations, account management, foreign exchange and understands trade services products 
  • To be strong in compliance requirements for customers & strong knowledge of key financial crime risks
  • To demonstrate the ability to take ownership and proactively carry out responsibilities
  • To be knowledgeable of the general economic climate
  • To be fluent in another language other than English will be considered an asset 
  • To be knowledgeable of Credit & Risk Management is highly desirable
