HSBC has just introduced a system to enhance online shopping security.
With the Strong Customer Authentication, you can buy and pay online with your HSBC cards with your mind at rest.
This system will be introducing two-factor authentication.
When paying for an online transaction with your HSBC card...
...the website where you’re buying from will ask you to confirm the transaction on the HSBC Mobile Banking app.
As soon as you open the app, you will see the transaction details, and depending on the mobile phone you use, you can confirm the transaction either via the Face ID, Fingerprint or password.
Following this, confirm on the website where you are making your purchase and the payment will be executed.
It is so easy and safe to buy online with your HSBC cards.
